Well, this is what happens when I'm forced to use acrylic paint and told to be conceptual and to use new techniques. :/ For one reason or another, I like it, regardless of how bad perspective, anatomy, ect. is.In other news... The Italians are adorable. No, but seriously. This is the first panel of a short comic I've been working on since before Thanksgiving. Nowhere near completion still, alas... And it's only one page! Bah, I work slow. Guess I'll stick to illustration rather than sequential art.

And then I drew Nico. Basically a tats practice as well as trying to draw body types. He still doesn't look half as bony or busted up as he should, but I did my best. :/ This was before I started the self-imposed sketchbook ban at work. Just cuz I wasn't getting shit done. Now I kinda wish I brought it more often so that I wouldn't end up drawing with pen on the back of receipts.

Yeah, it bothers me that much. But hey, it'd bother you too if you had picked out the perfect receipt for drawing on and then someone threw it away because you had a customer.

To be honest though, I'm just glad to be making art again, especially after such a long bout of artists block, which, for me, usually only lasts about a day. And the last one lasted for over a month!

Also, this last pic of the octopus is rather old, but I'd never gotten around to uploading it anywhere, and it's a picture that I'm REALLY happy with. Even if my teacher was a dickwad and gave me a C on it because 'I can do better'. I really don't believe that bullshit teachers give their students in art classes. They tell me they think I have more potential, and that's why they give me shit grades, but I think that for my age and experience, this is what I can do!

Besides, I worked damn hard on this! It is my very first successful watercolor picture! And I colored it before even putting the ink lines in, which I did with a brush dipped in ink, no less! I think my teachers secretly know I draw anime, and so they hate me. Which sounds like an art teacher reason to hate someone.
